The Samsung Galaxy Mini Mobile Phone Review - A Small, Colourful Mobile With Lots of Features

The Samsung Galaxy Mini is definitely a phone of merit. Fashionable and fun, it's an excellent phone for the party crowd. It has enough going for it to keep most users happy—its 3.5 mm headphone jack, awesomely responsive screen, reliable internet connection, and more give users more than enough things to play with.

However, its low resolution screen, slightly outdated Android operating system, and low quality camera may turn up a few noses. All in all, it's worth consideration. That aside, at 3.2 inches, its screen is large enough to be able to manipulate it easily and responsive enough that you won't struggle with it, but those who dislike low resolutions screens might find themselves disappointed in this phone.

It's not blurry or unreadable, however—it just lacks the pinpoint precision of big name smartphones. We also like that its icons are bright and big and easy to press. Its battery life was also surprisingly good as well, especially for a phone with so much going for it. We were able to use it for a good three days before it needed charging again.

However, use it heavily and you might find it needs charging a little more often. We also enjoyed its sound quality, which was crisp and clear. The addition of a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a stereo FM radio with RDS doesn't hurt either. We desperately wish the phone had a better resolution. Considering its flashy good looks and relatively reliable interface, settling with a 240 x 320 resolution is downright disappointing.

While we appreciate that Samsung has tried to doctor up the icons to make them readable, we expect and demand better. We were also disappointed with its shoddy 3 megapixel camera. With no flash, pictures turn out awful looking in anything but the brightest of rooms.

We do like that it has geo-tagging and that photos come out vibrant looking, but if you're looking for anything of quality, seek elsewhere. The oddest little flaw this phone has is that, while its version of Android supports Flash, its browser doesn't. This strikes us as a strange way to run things, and the frustration is almost palpable.

The Samsung Galaxy Mini is a promising phone with good features that could compete with today's latest. Samsung hasn't lost the mobilephone market yet and they also have lots of free TV with contract phone that might change your mind when buying the phone you have in mind.
