Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 Mobile Phone Review

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 is a well rounded feature phone that has a little something for everyone. Equipped with Android 1.6, wi-fi, 3G, and a 3.2 megapixel camera, it has enough going for it to satisfy many users. Its good looks certainly don't hurt either. However, is it for everyone? Read on to find out.

At 104g, it's not exactly a petite phone, but it's not big or bulky either. Its white outer casing consists of high quality plastic, and we like that its sole front buttons consist of an elegant strip of chrome just below its three inch screen. We did wish that the screen were a bit larger, but as far as screens go, it's bright and colourful and responsive to the touch.

Its Android 1.6 operating system isn't the most up-to-date version by any means, but if this isn't a problem for you, you'll find it works fairly decently, in spite of its dated quality. One big drawback is that its interface, while user friendly, seems to have been created for a phone with a much larger screen than what this one is equipped with, resulting in some awkward moments.

Also included is a rad infinity button, which allows you to look up related songs or Youtube videos online. This is particularly neat if you're a stickler for finding anything and everything you can about any particular band.

Its 128MB of memory isn't initially terribly impressive, but the phone comes with an added 2GB via a microSD card. If this isn't enough, you can boost this to up to 16GB.

If you browse a lot searching for phones, you'll encounter a lot of free mobilephone line rental offers and probably a Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 contracts. These deals actually are good, if not the best, you just have to follow the deal closely for it to work.
