Mobile Phone Review - Blackberry Curve 8520

Some of us got a bit hacked off with the trackball featured on the earlier curve models as it became dirty almost instantly, but if that hasn’t put you off BlackBerrys then the 8520 will be a pleasant surprise. No more independent movements to slow you down, as the Curve comes with a touch-sensitive trackpad.

Though the Curve 8520 lacks the same style and sophistication that the 8900 had to offer, the combination of a trackpad and a full QWERTY keyboard for ease of texting and e-mailing will lead to a coveted communication device that BlackBerry have thrived off for many years. To be honest, multimedia is the focus of this release.

The media player is really impressive and accessing your songs is incredibly simple via the music keys along the top. In addition, the whole IM folder lets you chat to your many contacts through Blackberry Messenger, Google Talk, AIM, Yahoo Messenger, Windows Live Messenger or ICQ, with pre-installed apps already on the handset so communicating on the go is incredibly easy.

Blackberry Curve 8520 gets better in every release; newer phones are expensive while a last month's release becomes cheaper. There are various ways to save money and you can get a HTC Android phones if ever you want to buy one.
